Celebrate Pasifika 

Make the most of the sunshine and head along to the Pasifika Festival on Saturday, 14 March at Western Springs. As well as traditional and contemporary entertainment, workshops, demonstrations, stalls and food, the festival will feature a new Sevens rugby tournament with premier Auckland rugby teams as well as demonstration games of soccer and rugby league. This is the place to be this weekend, so check out public transport and parking options here because its Pasifika Festival time.

The place to start and end your Auckland Festival day

Head along to Red Square and enjoy the magical atmosphere as the bars, cafés and balconies come alive with entertainment. Indulge yourself at La Clique in the Famous Spiegeltent, or experience the unmistakable buzz in the Festival club. Music lovers, party goers and artists are all in for a treat. 

Casino Royale cast.  

Beautiful women, classy suits and risky gambling

Blockbuster film Casino Royale screens as part of Telecom Movies in Parks. So grab a cushion and head along to Western Park tonight to enjoy some of the best Bond experiences to date. Davey Beige will share his acoustic magic before the film with a set of classic covers and groovy originals. 

St Patrick's Parade.  

Paint the town green this weekend 

Come and witness the St Patrick's Parade on Saturday, 14 March. The parade will start at the bottom of Queen Street at noon and make its musical way up to the Town Hall where there will be more music and dancing. This will be a great day for the whole family to enjoy.

Enjoy a day out with friends

The Music in Parks programme continues this weekend. Sit back, relax and listen to the soothing jazz sounds of David Edmundson at Auckland Domain, or head along to Sturges Park to enjoy the sweet melodies and deep grooves of Ardijah and Hikoikoi as part of Telecom Summer Sounds. Both great concerts take place on Sunday, 15 March.
